The Adoption Triangle was the first book I read on adoption issues when I began my search for my lost son. I had the pleasure of attending workshops of Annette’s at conferences in the 1980’s and 90’s. But my most significant recollection, was Annette’s comments in the film “The Right To Know”.

One of the things that she said that I always share with those who do not understand why so many of us search was “Intelligent people do not live well with mystery in their lives”. Of course. It was so simple and helps justify something so basic that we shouldn’t even have to justify.

I was so touched by her wisdom, empathy and kindness and most of all – her honesty. Annette was truly a hero to me and I shall forever be thankful I was exposed to her work.
